Lowell Arts at Sound Check is a new music series brought to you by Lowell Arts. The series will feature a mix of local favorites and award-winning artists, presented at Sound Check, a venue in downtown Lowell designed to provide an intimate listening experience for music enthusiasts. Sound Check features an inviting aesthetic with seating for up to 100, sound deadening stage curtains to enhance sound clarity, concessions, accessible entry, and plenty of free parking.
Patty PerShayla
Patty PerShayla is already a rarity as a combination singer and bassist but has established herself as a stand-out performer by meanwhile perching on one leg or strutting the stage in platform heels. She is heard before she is seen, boasting a big voice for a relatively small vessel, and certainly has a lot to say—challenging gender norms, confronting imposter syndrome, processing trauma—and don’t even think about getting on her bad side.

Big Timmy & the Heavy Chevys
Big Timmy & The Heavy Chevys are a Grand Rapids-based band blending soul, jazz, and R&B into a sound that’s smooth, heartfelt, and groove-heavy. With warm horns, rich vocals, and a rhythm section that knows when to push and when to let things breathe, the band builds their songs around feel and connection.
